Community Cares says, “Our ministry consists of the Ron Scherdin Food Share Program and the Family to Family Thrift Store. We provide assistance to area families in need.”

The peanut butter we collect each month is given to needy people by Community Cares. We donated about 550 jars in 2021. Our goal for 2022 is 600 — please pick some up as you shop! top

Thornwell

Thornwell’s many programs help children, including children in foster care, and families.
Through a Thornwell representative in Quincy, we found the family that we “adopted” for Christmas 2021. Our Jeffus-Dolan Circle of Presbyterian Women supports Thornwell with a monetary donation each year. top

GCHS says,” Join us as we work to improve the lives of homeless animals in Gadsden County!”
We provide a location and water for GCHS to have dog-wash fundraisers on the first Saturday of each month from March through October. top

Over the years, members of our congregation have participated in building activities and more at several sites in Costa Rica. We also collect items for our missionaries to share with the people they meet there. top

In line with the strong connection to our community, we frequently participate in events organized by Havana Main Street, such as the PumpkinFest and the lawn mower parade in WinterFest. We appreciate these opportunities to share God’s love! top
